Prism Hosted Desktop is a scalable and affordable solution that enables your business to offer agile working and dramatically reduce the time and cost of maintaining a physical desktop estate.
Agile working is demanded by the modern workforce and companies that are not willing to embrace it may struggle to employ and retain key talent. Prism Hosted Desktop enables an agile and flexible workforce who are not bound by location or device type. Expensive and powerful end-user devices can be replaced with cheaper alternatives that are more secure as they do not need to store business-critical or confidential data.
Prism Hosted Desktop gives you incredible scalability and can dynamically flex up or down as demand requires. Should you need to hire short-term staff for a particular project, or need additional capacity at short notice, the extra staff can be up and running within minutes, not days or weeks – using any device they choose.
When your business is no longer dependent on data being held on individual devices, continuity is much easier to maintain. Users can log in on any device, anywhere and have exactly the same desktop experience. So if a computer breaks down or your staff cannot get into the office for any reason, they can simply log on to the hosted desktop from a different device and be up and running straight away.
With a centralised hosted desktop environment in secure data centres, end-user devices used by remote workers can become stateless ‘thin clients’. This means that no corporate data is stored locally, keeping the devices secure in the event of loss or theft.
Prism Hosted Desktop integrates with your chosen Identity Provider (IdP) to enhance your cybersecurity, including on-premises Active Directory and cloud IdPs (such as Azure AD and Okta). Enhanced security features such as multi-factor authentication, conditional access and password-less login provide secure access to corporate data in an intelligent, non-intrusive manner – in addition to granting additional return on investment for your cloud migration strategy.
With Prism Hosted Desktop, graphics acceleration is powered by NVIDIA GRID technology, giving users a full desktop experience on any device, even if they are working on complex CAD and engineering workloads that demand high fidelity and frame rates.

Patching and updating physical desktop estates can be a major task overhead for busy IT departments. Prism Hosted Desktop can help alleviate this by transitioning to a ‘non-persistent’ environment, where updates need only be applied to a single master image. This can dramatically reduce the amount of time IT staff spend updating every computer in the company, freeing valuable resources to be deployed in a more strategic manner.
